It is that time of year again.
We honor our late friend Frank Kata with the annual poker tournament at “The Bus” the eve of the first home game. Cards, a little chaos, and plenty of “Pirate Beverages” will be had in his honor.
Frank died of cancer in 2007. He was a Harley guy, a fisherman, a beach regular, and a man who liked a practical joke as much as a long shot. The people who played with him on those old Hungate Crew poker nights remembered him the same way: he made the table fun.
We plan on starting around 8:30 PM after Freeboot. Come take your shot at a good cash prize, the title of Pirate Bus Poker Champion for a year, and the honor of holding the world’s largest poker tournament trophy.
